Two promoted Liga 1 clubs appoint new coaches, Bhayangkara FC still waiting

According to Bolasport.com, three promoted clubs to Liga 1 2025/26 are preparing for top-flight competition — with two of them having already appointed new coaches.

PSIM Yogyakarta as Liga 2 champions, Bhayangkara FC as runners-up, and Persijap Jepara in third place will replace PSS Sleman, Barito Putera, and PSIS Semarang who were relegated last season.

Liga 2 regulations required local coaches — however the three coaches who secured promotion will not continue their duties in Liga 1:

• Erwan Hendarwanto from PSIM Yogyakarta
• Hanim Sugiarto from Bhayangkara FC
• Widodo C Putro from Persijap Jepara

Persijap Jepara became the first club to announce a new coach, followed by PSIM Yogyakarta — while Bhayangkara FC has yet to make a decision regarding their tactician for next season.
