Riot Games Postpones VCT EMEA 2025 Amid Technical Failures

The final phase of VCT EMEA 2025: Stage 1 has officially been postponed indefinitely due to ongoing technical issues. This decision is suspected to follow severe delays and disruptions during matches on April 25.

During the final day of the Team Liquid vs. Karmine Corp match, one map reportedly took over three hours to complete due to repeated technical pauses, primarily linked to hardware malfunctions affecting VCT EMEA participants. Organizers halted all activities for the day after failing to resolve the issues.

Riot Games is currently working to address the problem and will announce a reopening date once all fixes are implemented. Attendees present at the live event have been offered full refunds.

With this delay, the VCT EMEA 2025 circuit—scheduled to resume on May 8, barring further complications—will resume with the final group stage matches: Team Liquid vs. Karmine Corp game 2, followed by Fnatic vs. Team Heretics series. For the former, it will be an important game as it will determine their placement in the upper or lower bracket of the playoffs.
