EWC 2025 Announced Cristiano Ronaldo as Global Brand Ambassador

The Esports World Cup Committee in Saudi Arabia has announced football legend and Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo as Global Ambassador for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025.

This partnership aims to reach beyond traditional esports fans, bridging competitive gaming and traditional sports. During the event, Ronaldo will lead the EWC’s global campaign and promote its new creative theme titled Rise Above.

“Sport is always evolving – and esports is one more frontier. The commitment, drive, talent and intensity I have been able to see in esports athletes is no different from what I’ve experienced on the pitch.

“I’m proud to join the Esports World Cup as Global Ambassador – standing with esports athletes who rise above and inspire the next generation,” said Ronaldo.

EWC CEO Ralf Reichert welcomed Ronaldo’s ambassadorship, noting his presence will unite generations of fans – from football to esports – at the event starting July 2025.

With the world’s largest fanbase, 650M+ on Instagram, 115M on X, and 75M YouTube subscribers, Ronaldo is expected to draw football enthusiasts to the esports spectacle.

This marks the 40-year-old continued collaboration with EWC, having previously announced the 2024 event and attended the 2023 Riyadh Closing Ceremony where he greeted top esports players.
