Marc Marquez wary of Bagnaia’s threat at Italian GP

Marc Marquez from Ducati Lenovo team shares his perspective on teammate Francesco Bagnaia’s performance in MotoGP Italia 2025 Sprint — the Italian rider had to settle for third position with a 2.5-second gap.

Despite Sprint race superiority, Marquez remains cautious about Bagnaia’s potential in the main race — considering his status as Italian GP champion for three consecutive seasons.

“The weekend isn’t over yet. Pecco never shows his full speed in sprints, I don’t know why. But in Sunday races, he always brings out a bit more,” says Marquez.

Competition at Mugello Circuit will heat up again today — with Bagnaia expected to unleash his full speed potential to maintain dominance on home soil.
