Marc Marquez breaks lap record in Italian MotoGP qualifying

Marc Marquez showcased brilliant performance in the 2025 Italian MotoGP qualifying session at Mugello Circuit — setting the best lap time of 1 minute 44.169 seconds to claim pole position.

The 32-year-old Ducati rider edged his teammate Francesco Bagnaia by 0.059 seconds — breaking the Mugello Circuit lap record previously held by Jorge Martin with a time of 1 minute 44.504 seconds.

In Q1 session, Raul Fernandez from Trackhouse Racing Team led with 1 minute 45.214 seconds — leading Enea Bastianini from KTM Tech3 by 0.393 seconds. Second position was later taken by Gresini Racing rookie Fermin Aldeguer, who was 0.256 seconds behind Fernandez.
