KTM Optimistic About Italian Grand Prix After Positive Aragon Test

Based on productive testing results in Aragon, the KTM MotoGP factory team shows optimism ahead of the Italian Grand Prix.

Pedro Acosta shared his hopes following the team’s performance at Aragon — the first circuit this season where they demonstrated promising performance.

“It’s true that last year Pecco, Marc, Jorge, and Bastianini were on a different level, but let’s try. Our target is to repeat the performance like in Aragon, as close as possible to the podium and if we can fight at the beginning of the race, that would already be a good result,” said Acosta.

Although KTM tried various new components during testing in Aragon, Acosta acknowledges it’s difficult to draw definitive conclusions due to different track conditions compared to race weekends.

Meanwhile, Brad Binder, who only scored one point in Aragon, remains optimistic about the speed shown at the Motorland circuit. He believes Mugello could be a favorable track for the Austrian manufacturer.

“We found some small things that gave us extra margin during the Aragon test. Now we’re going to apply everything here,” said Binder.

KTM will use new aerodynamic modifications expected to improve front-end safety and provide better margin on both wheels.
