Arteezy Plans to Leave Dota 2 If He Misses Top 100 Challenge

Former pro Dota 2 player Arthur “Arteezy” Babaev recently challenged himself to quit Dota if he can’t reach a high ranking soon.

During a livestream on his new YouTube channel, the ex-Shopify Rebellion player announced he aims to break into the Top 100 Leaderboard within 100 days. He jokingly said that if he fails, he’ll switch to League of Legends.

This challenge was first taken up by Danil “Dendi” Ishutin back in March. However, instead of climbing Dota’s leaderboard, Dendi has been attempting to reach LoL’s Top 100 to prove it’s easier than Dota.

“Let’s give it a shot. If I drop below rank 100 in 100 days, I’ll move to League of Legends along with Dendi.”

Arteezy will likely struggle with this challenge under Dota’s latest patch, especially since he hasn’t played competitively after stepping back from esports three months ago. As of mid-June, he remains stuck at rank 253.

Additionally, he isn’t signed to any team, suggesting he has no competitive drive for Dota anymore. No major organizations have shown interest in recruiting the 28-year-old player at the moment.
