Villarreal Secure Final LaLiga Spot in 2025/26 UCL

According to Bolasport.com, 23 out of 36 spots have now been filled for the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League, meaning nearly two-thirds of the participants are confirmed.

Villarreal secured the final LaLiga spot after a dramatic 3–2 win over Barcelona at the Lluis Companys Stadium.

Managed by Marcelino Garcia Toral, who led the club to a Europa League title four years ago, Villarreal now have 67 points and are guaranteed a fifth-place finish in the LaLiga standings.

Meanwhile, Real Betis saw their Champions League hopes dashed following a heavy 1–4 loss to Atletico Madrid — a result that, combined with Villarreal’s victory, officially ended their chances of qualifying.
