Ronaldo and Messi Fall Short in Continental Semifinals

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi — two of the greatest footballers of the modern era — shared similar fates in their respective continental competitions.

Al Nassr, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, suffered a 2-3 defeat against Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League semifinal held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

The loss was especially painful as Al Nassr had previously thrashed Yokohama Marinos 4-1.
