PSS Sleman Struggles to Survive After 0-3 Loss to Persib Bandung

PSS Sleman Falls to Persib Bandung at GBLA Stadium

PSS Sleman suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat against Persib Bandung in their latest Liga 1 Indonesia match held at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, according to Bolasport.com.

The loss marks another blow to PSS Sleman’s efforts to avoid relegation as they remain rooted at the bottom of the standings.

Super Elang Jawa’s Survival Chances Slimming

Coached by Pieter Huistra, the team — known as Super Elang Jawa — has now accumulated only 22 points from 30 matches.

Their survival hopes are rapidly fading, as they trail Barito Putera, the team sitting just outside the relegation zone, by seven points with only four games remaining in the season.

Coach Pieter Huistra: “We Will Keep Fighting”

Despite the difficult situation, head coach Pieter Huistra emphasized the team’s commitment to fighting for survival.

“The situation is indeed difficult, but we will try our best to save the team,” said Huistra after the match.

PSS Sleman faces a critical run of fixtures where every match will be a must-win to keep their hopes of staying in Liga 1 alive.
