Four Formula 1 Teams Face Cargo Delays Ahead of Chinese GP

According to Motorsport.com, four Formula 1 teams — McLaren, Red Bull, Mercedes, and Aston Martin — are facing logistical challenges ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai International Circuit.

Cargo shipment delays from Melbourne to Shanghai reached eight hours — forcing teams to unpack their equipment in the pit lane at 4:00 PM local time. Tire supplier Pirelli experienced similar delays but received their equipment on Wednesday.

The FIA has granted additional working time allowances to affected teams. To accommodate these delays, the normal working time limit of five and a half hours has been extended by thirty minutes.

“There are no worries about free practice, but these days will be some late nights for our mechanics,” stated a team member.

Despite time constraints, teams remain confident in completing preparations before the single free practice session scheduled for 11:30 local time.
