Zeys Predicts Indonesian Transfers to MPL PH Ahead of Next Season

Former Evos and Indonesian MLBB National Team head coach Bjorn “Zeys” Ong recently shared a surprising prediction, hinted at major player transfers between the MPL Indonesia and MPL Philippines leagues for the upcoming season.

On his personal Instagram, Zeys revealed that several MPL PH teams have shown interest in Indonesian players, particularly those who have performed well recently. The Singaporean coach believes this signals MPL PH’s growing seriousness in securing deals with Indonesian pros.

This development definitely comes as a surprise, given that MPL PH is known for its strong “Filipino Pride” mentality, traditionally relying on homegrown talent. In fact, the league has become a major source of experienced players and coaches for teams in other countries.

Additionally, Filipino players are widely considered among the best globally in terms of skill and strategy. Many feel it would be wasteful for them to sign players from any league that is below their standards.

So far, it’s unclear which MPL PH teams might be targeting Indonesian talent. However, given Zeys’ track record of predicting moves during transfer windows, this news shouldn’t be dismissed as just a bite-sized rumor.
