Zeys Returns to Competitive MLBB, Joins Team Flash

Legendary former coach of Evos MLBB and the Indonesian National MLBB Team, Bjorn “Zeys” Ong, has finally returned to the MLBB competitive scene as the head coach of Team Flash, competing in the MPL Singapore Season 9 circuit.

Over the past year, the 31-year-old Singaporean coach stepped away from the spotlight of MLBB esports, building a loyal following as a charismatic analyst and content creator while dabbling in Honor of Kings, his first competitive mobile game title.

Zeys now carries huge expectations to lead Team Flash to victory in MPL SG Season 9 and onward to the Esports World Cup 2025 in Saudi Arabia this July. Notably, Flash is Singapore’s top MLBB team, having secured three consecutive championship titles and maintaining a reputation for squad excellence.

Given his experience as a tactician for elites, it is unlikely for him to face major challenges with this roster. Previously, he elevated the gameplay of his trainees and clinched numerous titles at both local and international levels.

Zeys’ Achievements in MLBB

  1. Champion, MPL MY/SG Season 4 (EVOS SG)

  2. Champion, MPL SG Season 1 (EVOS SG)

  3. Champion, MPL ID Season 4 (EVOS)

  4. Champion, MPL ID Season 7 (EVOS)

  5. Champion, M1 World Championship 2020 (EVOS)

  6. Champion, IESF World Esports Championship 2022 (Indonesian National MLBB Team)

Zeys’ golden touch, however, was tarnished in 2022 as Evos spiraled into uncharacteristic mediocrity, followed by Indonesia’s disastrous group-stage exit at the SEA Games Cambodia. The double disaster sparked fury across Indonesian MLBB community, with fans initiating blistering online campaigns demanding his resignation from the national team.
