Zeys Guides Team Flash to MPL SG Season 9 Championship Title

Legendary former Evos coach Bjorn “Zeys” Ong has achieved an impressive victory with his new team, Team Flash, winning the recently concluded MPL Singapore Season 9.

His latest achievement with Team Flash finally answered the doubts of fans who had long awaited his return to the MLBB competitive scene. The Singaporean coach had stepped away from pro coaching after a disappointing run with Indonesia’s national team at Cambodia SEA Games 2023.

Many were expecting a smooth sailing, considering Team Flash is one of the top dogs of MPL SG. Zeys and the company, however, had to endure so many hard fights to secure an upper bracket playoff spot from Group A and they were knocked down to the Lower Bracket Final after failing to overcome the rival RSG SG.

That surprising loss didn’t dampen his team’s morale. They bounced back, defeating Absolute Zero to reach the Grand Finale and facing RSG SG again in a best-of-seven match. Zeys then deployed surprise strategies that led to a dominant performance, securing the championship with a decisive 4-1 victory.

This win marks Team Flash’s 4th MPL SG title in a row. It’s also a proud personal achievement for them as they just surpassed RSG SG’s previous record of three consecutive seasons. And as champions, they will be Singapore’s sole representative at next month’s MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
