Yuran Fernandes Suspended 12 Months by PSSI Disciplinary Board

Defender Yuran Fernandes from PSM Makassar received a heavy sanction from the PSSI Disciplinary Committee after criticizing the condition of Indonesian football on his personal Instagram account.

Although the player apologized for his controversial statement, the PSSI Disciplinary Committee imposed a 12-month playing ban and a fine of 25 million rupiah.

Ferry Paulus, CEO of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), revealed that his organization only provided necessary information to the committee — including evidence of Fernandes’ criticism.

“From LIB’s side, cases like Yuran’s have also occurred before, involving figures like Bojan Hodak or Paul Munster,” said Ferry Paulus.

Currently, APPI, FIFPRO, and PSM Makassar are collaborating to assist Fernandes in dealing with the sanction.
