Young Red Bull Driver Arvid Lindblad Ready for British GP Debut

Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko has confirmed that Arvid Lindblad will participate in Friday practice session at the British GP at Silverstone Circuit — marking the 17-year-old driver’s debut in an F1 weekend.

The F2 Campos driver of Swedish and Indian descent has completed his first test with Racing Bulls at Imola — sharing duties with fellow Red Bull junior driver Ayumu Iwasa.

“He spent half a day in the car in Italy on Monday to prepare him,” Marko told Kleine Zeitung. “And he will be in the car for Friday practice at Silverstone. He is characterised by his mental strength and self-confidence.”

Red Bull currently needs additional reserve drivers as Iwasa also competes in Japanese Super Formula. This situation becomes more urgent considering Max Verstappen is just one point away from a race ban due to penalty points accumulation.
