Young Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly signs long-term contract

Myles Lewis-Skelly has officially signed a long-term contract with Arsenal, as announced by the Premier League club.

The 18-year-old player — impressed during the 2024-25 season as a left-back in Mikel Arteta’s formation, recording 39 appearances and breaking into the England senior national team.

“I’m so proud and happy. These simple words sum up how I feel signing for this club. As a fan, it’s like a dream come true,” said Lewis-Skelly.

The Hale End academy product featured in 19 of Arsenal’s last 21 Premier League matches last season after getting his chance before Christmas. His impressive performances — including his first goal in the 5-1 victory over Manchester City, earned praise from teammates.

“For an 18-year-old to be that good, that comfortable, that strong — it was like he was built in a lab,” praised Declan Rice.

His excellent form led to his England debut, where he scored the first goal of Thomas Tuchel’s era in a 2-0 win against Albania.
