Yolla Yuliana officially retires from Indonesian national volleyball team

According to PBVSI announcement, Yolla Yuliana officially ended her career with Indonesian women’s national volleyball team on Tuesday evening. The 31-year-old player — who could perform as both blocker and hitter — decided to retire after appearing in AVC Nations Cup 2025.

This decision had been considered for two years, but incomplete administrative processes kept Yolla in the team. This move follows other seniors like Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah and Agustin Wulandari who retired earlier.

In her final tournament as captain, Yolla led the national team to fifth place — with four consecutive victories in final matches.

“I’m stepping down to give opportunities to young players. At the AVC Nations Cup, I saw Philippines fielding many young players. I hope our young players can compete at the same level,” stated Yolla in her official statement.
