According to TJB, Yeum Hye-seon expressed her feelings of loss after parting ways with Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, her teammate at Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks for the past two seasons.

The setter–opposite duo had become the backbone of Red Sparks, helping lead the team to the Korean Volleyball League finals in the 2024–2025 season.

Their final series was nothing short of dramatic:

  • Pink Spiders won 3–0 in the first leg

  • Pink Spiders won 3–2 in the second leg

  • Red Sparks won 3–2 in the third leg

  • Red Sparks won 3–2 in the fourth leg

  • Pink Spiders won 3–2 in the fifth leg

Despite battling injuries and fierce competition, the duo demonstrated remarkable resilience and teamwork, fighting with heart until the final whistle.

“I kept saying it (trying to convince Mega to stay), but it didn’t work,” said Yeum, who was recently honored as the league’s best setter.

Their bond on and off the court was key to Red Sparks’ rise in recent seasons. With Megawati now departing, a new chapter begins for both stars and their team.
