Yeb Rules Out Coaching Extension

Veteran Filipino MLBB coach Paul “Yeb” Denver has made waves since his recent return to helm Onic ID, earning praise for transforming the team’s mentality. However, despite his immediate impact, Yeb has made it clear that the comeback is temporary, with no long-term commitment in sight.

Yeb rejoined Onic as an interim coach for MPL ID Season 15, stepping into a role vacated by Adi “Adi” Asyauri, who now serves as an analyst. Baba Yeba quickly proved his prowess during Week 6’s high-stakes matches against Team Liquid ID and RRQ Hoshi, guiding the Yellow Porcupine away from the looming threat of elimination.

Unsurprisingly, Onic’s supporters began clamoring for Yeb to stay on at the helm permanently. Yet, during a recent MPL ID media conference, he shut down such speculation and emphasized that he will stay until the end of this season, and expressed hope that a successor would immediately fill his spot when it is done.

It’s worth noting that Yeb also currently serves as Vice President of Esports for Onic ID’s organization, which may explain his reluctance to continue. Maintaining such a demanding routine would strain his ability to balance these professional obligations with his personal life.
