Yeb Returns to Rescue Struggling ONIC ID in MPL

A surprise has emerged from the Onic ID camp, as they recently announced the return of veteran coach Miranda “Yeb” Denver to boost their performance at MPL Indonesia Season 15.

Per official announcement, Yeb will temporarily take on the role of head coach for Onic ID while continuing his duties as Vice President of Esports for the organization indefinitely. Meanwhile, Adi “Adi” Asyauri, who previously served as head coach, will be shifted as analyst alongside Ahmad “Mars” Marsam.

Yeb’s return is expected to help Onic escape the relegation zone. Since the Filipino coach retired long before this season, the Yellow Porcupine has struggled with inconsistency and missed too many chances in recent matches. The drafting strategies implemented by Adi proved ineffective against more flexible teams like Evos and RRQ.

With only 4 wins out of 9 matches, Onic ID currently sits in seventh place in the provisional standings and risks being trapped in the relegation zone if they fail to seize opportunites in the next four weeks. For a team that holds the record of quadruple titles, these results are simply unacceptable.

While Yeb’s tactical expertise brings hope, questions linger about the roster’s firepower. Analysts point to a glaring hole in the EXP lane left by Muhammad “Butss” Sanubari’s departure to Honor of Kings’ esports scene.
