Yeb Believes Onic ID Can Reclaim MSC Glory

In a recent interview before the MSC x EWC 2025 tournament, Onic ID head coach Paul “Yeb” Denver expressed strong confidence in his team’s chance to win another championship in Saudi Arabia.

The Yellow Porcupines have been known to hold the record for most MSC titles, winning the trophy in 2019 and then in 2023. However, they missed their chance to join last year’s inaugural franchise EWC event due to poor performance in MPL ID Season 14.

Now, with a refreshed roster and Yeb’s return to the coaching team, they have renewed energy to reclaim the prestigious title. Yeb, who plans to ‘end’ his coaching career again after this event, believes the team is hitting top form just in time for MSC x EWC 2025.

He pointed to their victory over rivals RRQ Hoshi in the MPL ID Season 15 finals as crucial for rebuilding the players’ confidence heading into international competition. Combined with strong results from regular scrims against their sister team, Onic PH, Yeb feels the current lineup is as formidable as the classic roster featuring Muhammad “Butsss” Sanubari and Calvin “CW” Winata.

The MSC x EWC 2025 group draw has placed Onic ID in Group A’s upper bracket alongside CFU Gaming, Ultra Legends, and Team Liquid PH, starting July 23rd. The potential match up against the latter is sure to draw significant attention, given the intense, long-standing rivalry between the MPL ID and MPL PH leagues.
