Yatoro Admits Underlying Problems Within Team Spirit

Team Spirit Dota 2 star Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk recently admitted his team has been struggling to find its top form in quite a while.

During a livestream with Mira “Ephey,” Yatoro pointed out that the team is currently struggling with in-game strategy, which often leads to their defeat in important matches, especially in the playoffs—as seen in their recent performance at PGL Wallachia.

Furthermore, Spirit doesn’t look as dominant as last season when they won their second International championship. Yatoro stated they are working hard to find solutions and play better before the next major tournament.

“I think we have a little bit of problems in the game, that’s why we constantly end up in the bottom set. Like what happened at PGL Wallachia. I think we are doing everything we can to fix these problems. We want to improve.”

The Russian also said the team’s mindset isn’t as strong as before, which affects their overall play. However, he believes these issues will be resolved over time.

Outside the team, analysts frequently point out Spirit’s draft strategies often lose to their opponents’. They emphasize the team needs more flexibility to make their play less predictable and more consistent.
