Yatoro Hails Team Spirit as Dota 2’s Greatest Ever

Following Team Spirit’s decisive victory at the Dota 2 EWC 2025 a few days ago, star player Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk has declared his team the greatest in Dota 2 esports history.

During an interview shortly after the final in Saudi Arabia, Yatoro acknowledged legendary teams like the 2023 Gaimin Gladiators, PSG.LGD, and OG (2018-2019). However, he personally feels Spirit surpasses them all.

“Yeah, I really think we are the best team in the history of Dota 2. I would like to acknowledge other greats like Gaimin Gladiators from 2023, OG 2018-2019, who we unfortunately never played against, and LGD. Many good teams also won in their time, but my personal thought is that our team is better.”

Considering Spirit’s recent dominance and the upcoming The International 2025, they have a chance to set a major record by lifting the Aegis there. That would be their third TI victory, surpassing OG who currently ties with two titles.

Moreover, a TI 2025 win would likely mark the end of an era, as several veteran players may retire after achieving this milestone. When the time comes, the team is expected to rebuild around young talent Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov as their new centerpiece.
