Yann Sommer Heroics Send Inter Past Barcelona to UCL Final

Yann Sommer emerged as the hero for Inter Milan in their dramatic Champions League semifinal clash against Barcelona, securing a 4-3 victory at San Siro and a 7-6 aggregate win.

The Swiss goalkeeper made a stunning save in the 114th minute to deny Lamine Yamal — a decisive moment that preserved Inter’s lead late in extra time.

“That save from Lamine’s shot was special. He’s a great player who always cuts inside and shoots. I’m just happy the ball didn’t go in,” Sommer told Sky Italia.

Inter took the early lead through Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu, but Barcelona fought back with goals from Eric Garcia, Dani Olmo, and Raphinha.

Francesco Acerbi forced extra time with a late equalizer, and Davide Frattesi struck the winner to send Inter to the final.
