Xtreme Gaming Signs xNova to Fill for Poloson

In a surprising move, Xtreme Gaming has signed Jian “xNova” Wei Yap to their Dota 2 roster as a stand-in for Wilson “poloson” Koh in the upcoming Clavision 2025 tournament.

On their official social media, XG stated that poloson is suffering from a serious tendon issue, preventing him from intensive training with the team. The Singaporean will step back from competition to focus on recovery until early next month.

“Wilson Koh (poloson) will temporarily leave the active roster due to tendovaginitis, which prevents him from undergoing intensive training and participating in matches. We thank poloson for his hard work and contribution to the team and wish him a full and speedy recovery.”

Several players were considered as short-term replacements but few inactive players were available in China’s Dota 2 scene. The choice ultimately fell to xNova, who was a reserve player for Azure Ray.

XG is the first Chinese team invited to the inaugural Clavision Snow Ruyi 2025 tournament, joined by Tidebound and Yakult Brothers. The remaining slots are filled by overseas teams such as Boom Esports, BetBoom Team, and Tundra Esports.
