Xtreme Gaming May Withdraw from Riyadh Masters 2025

A shocking news has emerged from China’s Xtreme Gaming camp, suggesting the team may withdraw from the upcoming Dota 2 Riyadh Masters 2025 tournament, set to take place in July.

Rumors circulating on Dota 2 community platforms claim that XG’s founder, Yang “Yang” Yiqing, recently criticized his team’s performance after they failed to advance past Group Stage 1 of ESL DreamLeague Season 26, currently underway in Europe.

Yang argued that a squad unable to show up in major tournaments is unworthy of representing China internationally. He hinted that XG’s slot at the Riyadh Masters could be transferred to AG Global.

He further stated that the team would rather “die at the peak of glory” than “live in shame.” This remark appears to reference the players’ past success under PSG.LGD, a legendary Dota 2 team that dominated both Asian and international competitions back then.

While no official confirmation has been released, this move could be a strategic decision for XG to regroup and focus on rebuilding their reputation. Fans remain hopeful the organization will bounce back and deliver stronger performances in the near future.
