Wrexham Signs Midfielder Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest

According to the club’s official website, Wrexham has announced the signing of midfielder Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal — the transfer fee remains undisclosed.

O’Brien, who joined Forest in 2022, made only 13 Premier League appearances before loan spells at various clubs including D.C. United, LAFC, Middlesbrough, and Swansea City.

“I’m absolutely buzzing. It’s been a long time coming. After speaking to everyone here, it’s a club with a lot of ambition. I want to be part of that journey,” said O’Brien.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson welcomed the experienced player — who has made 162 Championship appearances. The club, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has already signed Liberato Cacace from Empoli and Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday.
