Wrexham AFC Launches New Home Kit with 80s Era Nostalgic Touch

Welsh Championship side Wrexham AFC — under the ownership of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney — has just unveiled their new home kit for the 2025-26 season.

The new jersey draws inspiration from the uniform worn by the team in the 1981-82 season — the last time The Red Dragons competed in English football’s second tier. This modern design maintains classic elements — wide fold-over collar, striped accents, and white pinstripe pattern.

The uniform features special details with motivational messages printed internally — “Wrexham Is The Name” on the collar and “History Only Tells A Story” at the bottom. The centrally positioned club crest pays tribute to the era of Joey Jones, Dixie McNeil, and Gareth Davies.

Wrexham AFC has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last three seasons — rising from the fifth division to the Championship. The club’s journey has been documented in the “Welcome To Wrexham” series aired on FX and Disney+.
