WNBA All-Star Players Protest Salary Issues During Warmup

WNBA All-Star Game players demonstrated their protest by wearing t-shirts reading “Pay Us What You Owe Us” during warmup session in Indianapolis.

WNBPA vice president Breanna Stewart emphasized — revenue sharing and salary increases are the main focus in ongoing CBA negotiations. “We want to discuss percentages and revenue sharing, but their latest proposal doesn’t even touch on that,” she stated.

Napheesa Collier, also WNBPA vice president, expressed disappointment — the first face-to-face meeting in seven months yielded no meaningful progress. More than 40 players attending the meeting demonstrated their seriousness in these negotiations.

“We will keep demanding and won’t stop until we get what we deserve,” affirmed A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas forward.

Players union president Nneka Ogwumike called the mass attendance of players a historic moment — despite meeting results not meeting expectations.
