Thai volleyball player Wipawee Srithong is confirmed to join Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks for the 2025-2026 Korean Volleyball League season — filling the position left by Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who decided to depart.

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi ends her tenure with Red Sparks after two seasons with the Daejeon-based team — this decision was made to focus on supporting her mother in Indonesia.

The Jember-born player’s departure leaves behind an impressive legacy, including leading Red Sparks to this season’s Korean Volleyball League finals — though ultimately losing 2-3 on aggregate to Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders.

Red Sparks also loses another outside hitter, Vanja Bukilic, who chose to continue her career in European competitions — forcing coach Ko Hee-jin’s team to reorganize their lineup for the upcoming season.
