William Marcilio reveals long-standing desire to join Persib Bandung

William Marcilio officially joined Persib Bandung about a week ago — the Brazilian player immediately participated in his first training session with his new team.

The 28-year-old striker revealed an interesting story about his attraction to Persib — his desire to join the Bandung-based club emerged while he was still playing for Arema FC last season.

The Rio de Janeiro-born player was impressed by the atmosphere created by bobotoh at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium — his experience playing as an away team member with Arema FC made him dream of one day defending Persib.

“I’ve had the desire to play for Persib since first experiencing their home atmosphere,” revealed the former Naxxar Lions player.
