Whitemon Prioritizes Victory Over Prize Pool at EWC 2025

Dota 2 Tundra Esports player Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon recently revealed a small secret that helps him stay mentally sharp and motivated during major competitions.

During a collaboration livestream on DeanKT’s channel, the 24-year-old Indonesian player was asked about his preparation and expectations for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025 — featuring a massive $3,000,000 prize pool.

Whitemon responded that he doesn’t yet know how the prize money will be distributed in the EWC, and is not interested in the exact figures anyway. He believes that focusing on huge cash prizes only adds pressure and distracts him from chasing the championship title.

“The EWC prize pool? I have no idea, they haven’t revealed anything yet. But that’s not the point. More money, more pressure. Winning is what matters.”

For the rest of the month, he’ll dedicate his time to mastering new patch 7.39 strategies and streaming. Being Indonesia’s only player competing internationally at this level, the local Dota 2 community will be watching his progress in the upcoming prestigious tournament closely.
