Wales National Team Bus Involved in Accident in Switzerland Before Euro 2025 Match

The Wales national team bus was involved in a collision in St. Gallen, Switzerland — just before their second Euro 2025 match preparation against France.

Manager Rhian Wilkinson, who was in a separate vehicle with captain Angharad James, confirmed that all bus passengers and the driver of the other vehicle escaped without serious injuries.

“Everyone is okay according to all reports, we just need to gather them and get everyone away from the scene for evaluation,” Wilkinson stated during a press conference.

The incident occurred near the team hotel, resulting in today’s training session being cancelled. Team staff and UEFA have assisted in evacuating players from the incident site.

This adds to Wales’ challenges in their debut tournament, following their previous 3-0 defeat to Netherlands in the opening match in Lucerne.
