VR46 Racing Team Confirms Talks with Pedro Acosta

According to Crash.net, Alessio ‘Uccio’ Salucci — VR46 Racing Team director and close friend of Valentino Rossi — confirms rumors of discussions with Pedro Acosta.

During the Czech MotoGP, Salucci revealed details of the meeting with the Red Bull KTM Factory rider:

“We joked a little, talked with Acosta about a month ago because he asked about our team situation for next season.”

His team remains satisfied with Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio’s performance — but keeps options open for the 2027 season:

• Discussions with Acosta’s management will continue
• Talks not exclusively focused on Acosta
• Team planning for 2027 already underway

However, Salucci acknowledges Acosta’s joining chances are relatively small given the current riders’ solid performance.
