The Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) officially announced the women’s free agency contract results for the 2025-2026 season on Thursday (April 24, 2025), with a few surprising outcomes.

Veteran player Pyo Seung-ju failed to secure a new deal and is now ineligible to play in the 2025-2026 V-League. The news came as a shock, considering she was still active last season with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks.

Meanwhile, Lim Myung-ok successfully renewed her contract with Gimcheon Korea Expressway Hi-Pass. Her new deal is worth 150 million won, consisting of a 100 million won base salary and a 50 million won bonus option.

These results reflect the tough competition in Korean women’s professional volleyball, where age and performance play a critical role in contract renewals.
