Vincent Kompany Silent After Bayern Munich’s Club World Cup Exit

Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich’s head coach, chose not to criticize his players following their elimination from the 2025 Club World Cup at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Die Roten had to acknowledge PSG’s superiority with a 0-2 score in the quarter-final match held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The winning goals for PSG — last season’s Champions League winners — were scored by Desire Doue in the 78th minute and Ousmane Dembele during injury time.

Bayern Munich actually displayed more dominance with 55 percent possession — they also recorded 13 shot attempts with 5 on target, while PSG only managed 11 shots.

The defeat felt more bitter considering Bayern failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage late in the second half, when two PSG players received red cards in quick succession.
