Vinales Suffers Shoulder Injury in German GP Qualifying, Withdraws from Race

Maverick Vinales encountered a serious incident during the wet Q2 qualifying session at the German GP. The Tech3 rider suffered a heavy fall at Turn 4 — resulting in an injury to his left shoulder.

After initial examination at the circuit medical center, Vinales was immediately referred to a local hospital for further evaluation. The medical team discovered his left shoulder was dislocated and fractured — forcing the Spanish rider to withdraw from the remainder of the German GP.

“The dislocated shoulder was immediately treated at the circuit, but doctors suspected a minor fracture. Hospital examination confirmed the fracture,” stated Tech3’s official announcement.

Vinales, who hadn’t set a time in Q2 — would have started from 12th position for both sprint race and main race. His participation in next week’s Czech GP depends on his recovery progress.
