Vinales Leads Italian MotoGP Practice Session, Poncharal Optimistic

Maverick Vinales showcases brilliant performance in the 2025 Italian MotoGP practice session at Mugello Circuit, Tuscany — setting the fastest time of 1 minute 44.634 seconds.

The Spanish KTM Tech3 rider managed to outpace Ducati Lenovo duo — Francesco Bagnaia in second and Marc Marquez in third position.

KTM Tech3 Team Manager, Herve Poncharal, expressed his satisfaction through Speedweek:

“Maverick continued his progress today in Aragon. He’s been at the front since race day and onwards. His lap times after the crash with the damaged bike were absolutely amazing.”

Poncharal added that Vinales has shown significant improvement since the Aragon test — proving RC16 motorcycle’s potential amid various doubts.
