Vietnam coach ready to face any opponent in ASEAN Cup U-23 semifinals

Vietnam coach Kim Sang-sik has declared his readiness to face any team in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 semifinals — including the possibility of meeting Indonesia U-23 national team.

The young Golden Stars recorded a promising start by defeating Laos 3-0 at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi. Vietnam’s winning goals were scored by Khuat Van Khang in the 19th minute, while Nguyen Hieu Minh contributed two goals in the 71st and 84th minutes.

Vietnam now leads Group B with three points and will face Cambodia at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium — a victory will secure a semifinal ticket for Kim Sang-sik’s squad.
