Victor Igbonefo Grateful After Back-to-Back Liga 1 Titles

Victor Igbonefo — veteran defender of Persib Bandung who secured back-to-back Liga 1 titles with the Maung Bandung squad — has expressed his gratitude for a remarkable career in Indonesia.

The naturalized player from Nigeria has achieved outstanding success, winning the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 Liga 1 titles with Persib Bandung, and three earlier league titles with Persipura Jayapura.

Igbonefo’s journey in Indonesia began around two decades ago when he joined Persipura Jayapura. His consistent performances led to his naturalization, paving the way for him to represent the Indonesia national football team.
