Verstappen Dominates British GP Qualifying, McLaren Duo Impressive

Max Verstappen of Red Bull secured pole position in qualifying for the 2025 British GP at Silverstone Circuit. The Dutch driver — who continues to show his dominance this season — will start from the front position.

The McLaren duo performed surprisingly well with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris securing second and third starting positions. The Woking team’s performance shows significant improvement at the historic Silverstone track.

Mercedes placed both drivers in the top five — George Russell in fourth position and Lewis Hamilton in fifth. Meanwhile, Ferrari had to settle with Charles Leclerc filling sixth position.

Two penalties affected the final grid:

• Kimi Antonelli received a three-place grid penalty due to an incident with Verstappen in the Austrian GP
• Oliver Bearman received a 10-place penalty following an incident in third free practice
