Veda Ega Pratama wins Race 1 of Red Bull Rookies Cup at Mugello

Veda Ega Pratama — a talented young rider from Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta — achieved a remarkable victory by winning Race 1 of the 2025 Red Bull Rookies Cup at Mugello Circuit, Italy.

The 16-year-old rider started from second position and immediately showed his determination by taking the lead from pole sitter Brian Uriarte in the opening lap.

Despite briefly losing the top position after one lap, Veda Ega Pratama maintained his competitive performance until reclaiming first place — securing victory with a narrow margin of 0.071 seconds over David Gonzlez and Giulio Pugliese.

Brian Uriarte, who started from pole position, had to settle for sixth place in the race session held during the 2025 Italian MotoGP weekend.
