Vanja Bukilic Leaves Red Sparks After Korea League Final

Vanja Bukilic has officially ended her journey with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks, the same team she played for alongside Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi in the 2024–2025 Korea Volleyball League.

The 25-year-old Serbian player delivered an impressive season, helping Red Sparks reach the final. Bukilic successfully adapted to a new role as an outside hitter, avoiding a positional clash with Megawati, who played as opposite.

Across her two seasons in Korea, Vanja Bukilic posted remarkable achievements:

• 935 points with Gimcheon Korea Expressway Hi-Pass
• 638 points with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks

Although offered a contract extension after the final, Bukilic chose not to renew. Megawati also made the same decision — turning down a new deal from the team known as Red Force.

The departure of these two key players marks the end of a significant era for Red Sparks, who captivated Asian volleyball fans with their run to the final this season.
