Vanenburg omits Adrian Wibowo from Indonesia U-23 national team squad

Gerald Vanenburg has announced Indonesia U-23 national team squad for ASEAN Cup 2025 — the competition scheduled for next month.

The Dutch coach called up 30 players for the training camp starting June 20, with Jens Raven from FC Dordrecht being the only diaspora player in the list.

Several eligible players of Indonesian descent did not make the squad — including Adrian Wibowo who currently plays for Los Angeles FC.

Two naturalized Dutch-born players, Dion Markx and Max Geypens, were also left out of Vanenburg’s initial call-up despite holding Indonesian citizenship and previously being projected for the U-20 national team.
