Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has signaled that his club will undergo a busy summer following their dramatic victory over West Ham United.

The Dutch defender — who scored the winning goal in the final minutes — helped The Reds extend their lead to 13 points over Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table. Liverpool now need just six points from their remaining six matches to secure their 20th league title.

“Liverpool should be able to challenge for titles in the upcoming years. I think it will be a big summer, and we all have to trust the board to do the right job,” said Van Dijk.

Van Dijk‘s own future at Anfield remains uncertain as his contract expires this summer, though he is reportedly set for a two-year extension. This follows his teammate Mohamed Salah who recently signed a new deal until 2027.

Van Dijk, who joined Liverpool about seven years ago, expressed his love for the club. “The culture of the club and everything that embodies Liverpool is just part of me. That’s why I’m always proud when I wear that shirt,” he added.
