Valtteri Bottas Jokes About Cadillac F1 2026 Seat Rumors

Valtteri Bottas Jokes About Cadillac F1 2026 Seat Rumors

Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes reserve driver, has created a creative joke on Instagram regarding rumors linking him to the Cadillac F1 team joining in 2026.

In the uploaded video, Bottas is seen approaching a Cadillac SUV and inspecting its two vacant seats.

“Oh wow, that’s actually a nice seat,” said the former Sauber F1 driver while stroking the leather upholstery.

“And they’re both free?” Bottas asked jokingly when Paul Ripke pointed out both seats.

After losing his racing seat at Sauber F1 for the 2025 season, Bottas returned to his former team Mercedes as a reserve driver — though he emphasizes his F1 career isn’t over yet.

Speaking seriously about the Cadillac opportunity, Bottas acknowledged his interest in the project. He mentioned August as his target timeline for knowing future plans, hoping his experience with three different teams would be an advantage.

The Finnish driver sees the American team as an interesting project with a different perspective on racing — an opportunity to start from scratch and make significant influence in team development.
