Valorant Mobile Drops New Updates

After a lengthy wait, Valorant Mobile has finally dropped new updates regarding exclusive content and varying release dates for different regions.

Through its official social media channels, Valorant recently announced that the mobile version is currently in development by Lightspeed Studios, the team behind PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile. However, international players will need to wait a little longer, as the game will first launch in China for its public beta.

Additionally, two new exclusive mobile maps were revealed: Dust Cargo Yard and Ancient Village. Existing maps like Bind and Lotus will also be adjusted to better suit mobile controls, ensuring smoother gameplay. And finally, the highly anticipated match replay feature has been introduced, which will help competitive players analyze their games.

Pre-registration for the Chinese public beta opened today (21/04). To enter, players must link their WeChat or QQ accounts to register their usernames and claim an exclusive Valorant Mobile player card. As for the global version, beta access is expected to arrive no earlier than July 2025.

Valorant Mobile has been a hot topic in the gaming community since mid-last year, fueled by leaks about its content and plans for a mobile esports scene rumored to rival the established Valorant Champions Tour, which began in 2021. Given the massive success of PUBGM, there’s significant potential for Valorant Mobile to heat up the mobile FPS competition, which currently lacks strong competitors.
