Prediksi Valencia vs Getafe di La Liga (10.05.2025)

On May 10, 2025, at 19:00 WIB, the Mestalla will host a La Liga match between Valencia and Getafe. Both teams are mid-table dwellers, but they’re showing different trends as the season winds down. Bookmakers are giving a slight edge to the home side. Let’s take a look at each team’s current form and give our prediction for the match.

Valencia

Los Che are currently in 12th place with 42 points and are in good form: unbeaten in their last five matches (3 wins, 2 draws), including a 2–1 victory over Real Madrid. Earlier in the season, Valencia were among the main contenders for relegation and were even in the drop zone at one point. However, the team has gradually recovered from their crisis and are now nine games unbeaten. They’re just two points away from the European qualification zone. It’s also worth noting their fairly productive attack—40 goals scored so far—though their defense continues to struggle, having conceded 51 goals.

Getafe

Getafe are in 13th place with 39 points and are clearly struggling. The team from the outskirts of Madrid has suffered four straight defeats in recent matches and is rapidly losing ground. Their losses weren’t just against top-half teams, but also against Espanyol (a mid-table side) and Las Palmas (currently in the relegation zone). Not long ago, the “Dark Blues” were in the European qualification spots. But considering their current form, returning to the top 8 with just four matches remaining seems very unlikely. Especially with tough fixtures ahead against Athletic Bilbao, Mallorca, and Celta Vigo. Discipline is also an issue for the team—Getafe players have received three red cards in the last four rounds.

Head-to-Head and Stats

The last five head-to-head meetings are even: two wins for each team and one draw. Their first meeting this season ended 1–1.

Prediction

For the Valencia vs Getafe match, we predict a relatively open and attacking game. Valencia have been scoring consistently. Getafe, despite usually preferring a more pragmatic style, may try to play more aggressively—after all, a win could bring them closer to the top 8. On the flip side, a loss would likely end their European hopes. In this situation, a bet on total goals over 1.5 at odds of 1.55 looks like a solid option.
