Uilliam Barros reveals reason for joining Persib Bandung

Uilliam Barros, Persib Bandung’s new striker, revealed his main motivation for joining the club — the massive supporter base of Maung Bandung served as a special attraction.

Persib Bandung is undergoing squad restructuring ahead of the 2025/2026 season after securing two consecutive titles. Coach Bojan Hodak’s team brought in Barros to fill the position left by Ciro Alves and David Da Silva.

The 30-year-old striker has an impressive record with his previous club — scoring 22 goals in 19 matches for Al-Fahaheel in the Kuwait league last season. The former Sampaio Correa player didn’t need much time to decide on joining Persib.

“I was immediately interested in joining because Persib has an incredible supporter base,” stated Barros.
